THE Store to shop at

I found it! The Albertsons that is fully stocked with all the sale items - and on Friday night no less. . . .

PARK CITY

and here I sit in my Park City Marriott condo without my coupons or a printer URRRRRRRRGH!

Oh well. Does anyone know anyone in Park City that I can teach how to use coupons and to save loads of money, cuz no one is shopping the sales up here. All these good deals just going to waste.

For those of you near a printer and want Malt O Meal for only a quarter, yes, that's $.25
Go to these links to print a coupon at each:
Link & Link & Link & Link & Link **
FYI - photocopying coupons is fraud AND we don't want these benefits to stop
**These are the same links you will find at grocerysmarts.com

And if I were shopping, I would also get the IN-AD coupon for the oreos - 2 for $3 and save them for Christmas desserts, and the IN-AD coupon for the Free Tree Top Apple Juice just in case I actually spend $25.
Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup and Tomato for $.40 after Sunday paper coupons dated 9/7. I would be able to get 24 cans at this price because I have 6 sets of coupons. (After $10 you get Campbell's soup label points for your favorite school)

Instead of shopping and stocking up and saving money, I blog.

MOM!!!

No, I am not calling for my mother (although she is constantly bailing me out of some jam; i.e. watching my kids, cleaning up my kitchen, running an errand).

It's a huge Malt O Meal cereal sale at Albertsons! Great deals. Check it out on Grocerysmarts.

Hey BABY!

Huggies CleanTeam Wipes (42 count) are $1.64 each at Walmart
There's a coupon in the SS 7/20 packet where you save $3 on 2.
When you buy two they each end up only being $.14 each.

That's the normal price so you don't have to rush to the store to get that deal, just go before the coupons expire!!
Also MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT WIPES! Surprisingly enough these wipes were located next to the baby oil and MaxiPads. They don't come in a hard container but rather in a little small plastic type soft package.

I don't have any little ones anymore but I keep them in my car and take them camping.

Be sure and check out the post below:

Never Fear, Albertsons & General Mills is here. Go Box Tops!

Week of 9/3 - 9/9
Most coupons this week are found online via the grocerysmarts website. So even the people who don't have all the newspaper coupons can make a killing this week.

Coupons: <$24.10>
Total Cost: $20.13

There are a lot more good deals this week at Albertsons. I'm just overstocked from past sales and don't need or have room for many of these items.

Take note: I used my raincheck from last week for the Scott Bath Tissues. The Scott Bath Tissues have Box Tops on them. I didn't know that the last time they were on sale and so most of them are sitting at the dump. . .

Also, Albertson's has changed there policy on their RAIN CHECKS. They used to be life time but now they are 30 days.

I had a hard time finding my coupons listed as General Mills Insert 8/10; it looks like this:

P.S. Smiths is having a case lot sale - I bought a case of mandarin oranges - $.34 a can No coupon needed

* * * * * * * * * * *

Associated Foods have good sales this week, also. If any of you are carrying around rainchecks for last weeks La Victoria Salsa 12oz. (Albertsons had it for $1 and then the coupon from the paper for $.75 off two makes it $.63) That size is on sale at Associated Food stores for $.99.

In the TASTE coupon section, where you find the Kellogg's coupons, you will find a rebate for $10 if you purchase 10 Kellogg's items.

Before you put away your groceries, prepare and mail in your rebate. I find if I don't do it immediately, I lose something that needs to be sent in or I forget. Every penny seems to count more these days.

Gasoline

I haven't shopped this week. Not many sale items to motivate me, however, I did get a deal on something . . .

GASOLINE!!

Have any of you purchased gas at Smith's? I've been noticing on my Smith's receipt, something about a penny off of gas or 5 cents off of gas and figured that wasn't much so I put it aside.

This week I was passing through the Smith's intersection in Layton and needed gas. Smith's showed there price as 2 cents cheaper so I decided to go there. When I scanned my little keychain card it brought the price down 5 more cents just for being a fresh value customer and then another 2 cents for my latest shopping bonus, so instead of $4.19 a gallon at Chevron, my gas cost me $4.10.

I only saved 9 cents a gallon but every cent counts these days!

Happy Pumping.

So good to be back!

I can't believe how fun grocery shopping is. I've been out of town for two weeks and then swimming lessons have consumed my summer; plus, there haven't been any wonderful, drop everything sales lately, so I haven't done much grocery shopping. Thank goodness for food storage and previous sales.

But I am back and so have a few sales. I walked out of Albertsons remembering how good it feels to get a super deal on groceries.

Last week I didn't have time to post what I bought but I hoped the picture would inspire some of you. This week is kind of fun with the movie tickets, just a little added bonus and excuse for a couple of dates. . .

Subtotal $126.38

Preferred Savings [$48.06]

Coupons [$24.79] (includes 2 - $3.50 "use next visit")

Total: $ 53.53 Total Savings: 72.85 + 4 Movie Tickets: $32.00 = $104.85

2 Fruity Cheerios at $1.24 each * 10 Fruit Snacks 1.59 * 2 Gogurts $1.99 * 2 Suddenly Salad $1.09 * 2 Stouffers Lean Cuisine $1.88 * 2 Jalepeno Cheetos $2.00 * 1 Bisquick $1.49 * 1 Progresso Bread Crumbs $1.49 * 1 Albertsons Sour Cream $1.00 * 4 Strawberry Jello $.50 * 2 Albertsons Whip Topping * 1 lg Cottage Cheese $2.99 * 2 Albacore Tuna $1.00 * Minute Rice Ready to Serve $1.00 * 2 Friskie Cat Treats $.65 * 5 Zone Bars $.45 * 2 Fruit Snacks $ 1.74 * Covergirl Mascara and 3 pk Eyeshadow $.67

Keep in mind that the prices above is what I paid for each.

I couldn't get the Lean Cuisine coupon to print or they would have been $1.38.

I had the cashier ring up the 20 items for the movie tickets, which included the 10 fruit snacks, first, and then I paid - got my two $3.50 vouchers and then rang up the remaining items and turned around and used the vouchers to pay for the rest. (That way I won't forget to use them before they expire - done that before).

The make-up was THE BEST deal !! If you are good with Covergirl, check this out. Covergirl is on sale for 50% off and then I had a coupon for "buy the mascara called "Lash Blast" and get any eye enhancer free (any kind of eye product). So, the mascara is normally $7.99, which it rings up for. The 3 pack eyeshadow rang up for $5.29. The preferred savings gives you back $4.00 for the mascara and $2.65 for the eyeshadow. AND THEN when the cashier runs the coupon through, they give you what the eyeshadow originally rang up for - $5.29. If you do the math, the two items totaled $1.34!!!! I have 5 more coupons and I am stocking up on mascara and all colors of eyeshadow. The really nice part is that I just lost all my eye makeup at Bear Lake this last weekend. Covergirl isn't Mary Kay but it will due for now!

Smith's

I dropped by Smith's in Brigham City last night to pick up a lunch item for today (Kindergarten field trip - my last one) and when I walked in the Coke products greeted me. I had been interested in this deal but not large enough to make a special trip, but here I was. We are much soda drinkers (a coke for a headache and Tim likes Dr. Pepper after a 20+ mile run) but I was excited to see the pink lemonade and orangeade on sale also.

5 - 12 packs $12 - that's $2.40 a pack,

$.20 a can plus 2 free boxes of Cheez-its

Last Minute at Albertsons - better hurry

Phew! I barely made it. Last week was SSOOO busy I didn't get to the grocery store, but as fate would have it, it was a bonus! Sunday, May 18th, paper had some coupons that added to this week's deals!

I bought a lot of laundry detergent yesterday. I am not accustomed to using liquid but I am now going to be for a while. My sister-in-law says ALL works really well.

Price Comparison:
Tide (at Sam's) $27.49 for 180 loads = $.15 a load
ALL Small and Mighty (at Albertsons w/coupon) $1.00 for 32 loads = $.03 a load
ALL x2 (at Albertsons with coupon) $1.50 for 32 loads = $.04 a load
If you don't have coupons from 4/20 it would be 2.00 a bottle (after spending $15) = $.06 a load - still a great deal.

I won't lie to you - this weeks took me an hour and a half to get my list and coupons clipped (printer problems didn't help any).

They didn't have everything I wanted. You might want to call the store of your choosing and see if they have the main items in stock (ie ALL, Ken's dressing, Lawry's) I'm going to try a different store today for the items they didn't have at Layton.

Here is what I got:

Subtotal: $316.69
Preferred Savings: ($196.83)
Coupons: ($47.30)
Total Cost: $72.56 A total savings of $244.13

12 Lawrys Marinade $.17 * 5 Wishbone Salad Dressing $.63 * 6 Best Foods Mayo $1.27 * 2 Knorr Pasta Sides $.30 * 6 Ken's Salad Dressing FREE * 2 Snuggle Fab Softener $1* 11 ALL Small & Mighty $1 * 4 ALL 2x Detergent $1 * 16 Tic Tacs $.23 * 4 7UP 2 liters $.50 * 1 Breyers Individual $1 * 2 Breyers Icecream $2 * 4 S&W Black Beans $.50 * 1 Bertolli Olive Oil $4.01 * 1 Lawrys Seasoning Salt $1 * 1 Planters Trail Mix $1 * 2 Lipton Onion Soup Mix $.67 * 1 pair polka dot flip flops $6.99

I use Wishbone Italian Salad dressing in a favorite pasta salad recipe and 7up in chicken/turkey marinades for the summer BBQs. Hopefully all those other marinades will come in handy for BBQs as well. Best Foods is a staple in the Petersen clan (my family) and the Tic Tacs will probably be found in Emi's B-day take home bag this summer. A for the black beans, I am using them in my Black Bean Hummus I am making for my dinner group. Check out the recipe on my dinner group blog.

91 Boxes of Cereal on the Wall

91 boxes of cereal for only $5.46
This is my trophy purchase so far. . .

I've been wanting to post my photo and haven't had time. This was a sale a month ago at Albertsons. 7 Boxes for $4.00 and then I had a coupon for $4 off of 4 boxes. All I had to pay was $.42 tax. It was one of those sales where you had to pay after each group of 7. I unfortunately didn't have any cash. 13 Transactions later, I was joyfully driving home. . .

I was so proud. Tim was even bragging to people about me. Well, when one's head gets a little enlarged, BEWARE!

I purchased these items on payday and you know how sometimes it takes a day for the check to "process". To make a long, dreary story short - I had no money in my account. The following week I got 13 notices in my mail. I had been charge $18.00 for EACH $.42 transaction (luckily they paid Albertsons). AAAHHHH! $196.00 later.

I regretfully phoned Tim (that is the really scary part). He was actually really good about it. I think he was in shock. He took care of me. He talked with a branch manager from our credit union that just happened in his office. She thought the story was so funny; she went right back to her office and refunded all the fees. PHEW.

This week at Albertsons!!
